Talking Faith | Sunbury Memorial Hall | giovedì, 19. settembre 2019

Organised to coincide with the UN International Day of Peace, “Talking Faith” is an event inspired by the Moroccan Soup Bar’s founder Hanna Assafiri’s “Speed Date a Muslim” series in 2016. Assafiri adopted the ‘speed dating’ format to provide a safe and respectful space for local non-Muslims to meet and ask Muslims all the curly questions they were otherwise too shy to.
“Talking Faith” says you CAN ask that - to explore, challenge or better understand your racial and religious perceptions with a follower of a different faith – Christian, Quaker, Hindu, Buddhist, Sikh or Muslim
“Talking Faith” is not a romantic or social event. It's a meetup with a difference, designed to provide a safe space for people from different faiths or no faith, to ask questions and provide an opportunity for learning and understanding.
FREE event. Children welcome if accompanied by an *****. Children's activities provided.
Please RSVP for catering purposes.  Dietary requirements catered for, please advise Liz on 9205 2467 or elizabethsh@hume.vic.gov.au
