Wine tasting of Sciacchetrà and visit to the terrraced land of Bargòn | Riomaggiore | martedì, 27. agosto 2019

Visit to the terraced land of Bargòn followed by wine tasting in the cantina in Riomaggiore.
Experiential encounter with Roberto, the vigneron, producer of Cinqueterre Sciacchetrà doc in Riomaggiore. You can visit the vineyards and the cantina, where shiacchetrà wine is produced, stowed and sold.
Two options for two different wine tasting experiences.
Option 1- visit to the terraced land of Bargòn followed by wine tasting in the cantina in Riomaggiore
(Time needed 2 hours and a half)
In this case you must reach the entrance of the terraced land of Bargòn by yourselves hiking from Riomaggiore up to Bargòn. (You may also reach Bargòn by car from La Spezia).
We shall meet you at the entrance of Bargòn, and offer you a glass of fresh water with a slice of local lemon, on a terrace in the shade overlooking Riomaggiore.
Next we shall visit the vineyards on the terraced land of Bargòn where  it will be possible to have a hands-on experience of the activities ongoing at the at the time of your visit. Roberto the wine producer, will explain his activities and answer all your questions. Translation in English by Alessandra.

Option 2 – Wine tasting in the cantina in via Gramsci 11, Riomaggiore historical center:
(Time needed between 40 minutes to 1 hour )
In this case you will reach directly the cantina. Here you will meet Roberto, the wine producer; he will describe, also with the aid of videos how he cultivates and produces Sciacchetrà, this very special, rare, precious passito wine with his brothers. You will discover the heritage of Cinque Terre and learn about the yearly cycle of production of Sciacchetrà. Alessandra will translate into English.
Meanwhile there will be wine tasting  of our Sciacchetrà served with ****** goat cheese. Our cantina in via Gramsci 11 (link to google maps). To reach the cantina you can click this link and look at the video in which the route is filmed step after step  from the train station.

Are there minimum age requirements to enter the event?
There is no minimum age. Visitors under 18 years are allowed to come only if supervised by an *****. Since the visit includes hiking in the vineyards children must be able to walk alone.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

What's the refund policy?
Attendees can receive refunds up to 7 days before the event start date.
Terra di Bargòn can cancel the event in case of bad weather or in the case there are less than three visitors attending.
