London Tutor Training and Assessment - Saturday 17th November 13:00 - 15:30 | The Access Project | sabato, 17. novembre 2018

Before beginning tutoring, each volunteer needs to attend one of our Tutor Training and Assessment sessions. This session will provide you with everything you need to be ready for your role as a volunteer tutor, including: information on what to expect from tutoring, handy tips and resources to help you to support your student and information on how we can support you throughout your time volunteering with us.

This session is also part of the assessment for suitability to tutor with us. As part of this we will be carrying out DBS checks on the day - information about what to bring with you for this is below! Please remember to bring these documents so as to avoid delays to you becoming a tutor.

As part of the process of becoming a volunteer tutor you will also have been invited to complete the first part of your Tutor Training and Assessment by completing your Child Safeguarding training online. Information about how to do this is included in the same email inviting you to one of our training sessions. We recommend that you complete this where possible before attending the **** to **** training session at our offices.

Where to go for training
Training will take place in our London office: Tobacco Dock, Wapping Ln, St Katharine's & Wapping, London E1W 2SF.

Please wait by the Tobacco Dock entrance gate on Wapping Lane and a member of The Access Project staff will let you into the courtyard and direct you to the training session.

You will receive an email with a reminder for the training and a detailed map of how you can reach us.

In case you have any problems on the day of the training (running late or struggling to access the building) please call 07391 949 313 and one of our trainers will take your call and assist you.
