The Socio-economic Inclusion working group is the first working group formed by the CFA UK's Inclusion and Diversity committee. At their first live event, you will have the opportunity to hear from two very different expert speakers; Bruno Paulson, Portfolio Manager, Morgan Stanley Investment Management and Caroline Goode, former Detective Chief Inspector, Met Police. They will discuss:
• Their own experiences around socio-economic mobility at work• How efforts to improve social mobility have benefited their teams• What obstacles young people from deprived backgrounds may **** in the workplace?• What can be done by firms to offer more opportunity to all. SpeakersBruno PaulsonPortofolio Manager, Morgan Stanley
Bruno is a portfolio manager for the London-based International Equity team at Morgan Stanley Investment Management. Bruno has an MBA from INSEAD where he received the Ford Prize for graduating top of class. He was also a Research Fellow in Political Economy at Nuffield College, Oxford, and received a B.A. in politics, philosophy and economics with 1st Class Honors from Keble College, Oxford. Bruno was a parent-founder of The Rise School, a free school for children with high-functioning autism. He is a governor at Kensington Aldridge Academy, where he chairs the Business Committee.
Caroline GoodeFormer Detective Chief Inspector, London Metropolitan Police Caroline is a former DCI who won the Queens Police Medal for her ground breaking work into honour-based abuse. She spent 33 years in the Met Police, during which time she personally led over 100 complex murder investigations, overcoming adversity to raise three children as a single parent. She is shortly to be played by Keeley Hawes in an upcoming ITV drama.
